Good Luck To Alan

7 May 2013

First team manager Chris Kiwomya feels that replacing Alan Judge will be a very tough but he is up for the challenge...

Judge has opted to depart Meadow Lane for pastures new following the expiration of his contract.

The former Blackburn Rovers man, dubbed the ‘Irish Messi’, made a big impact during his three years with the club, particularly in the 2011.12 campaign, when his performances saw him receive the Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Year awards,

The 24-year-old delivered again during 2012.13 and was shortlisted for the npower League 1 Player of the Year and named in the PFA Team of the Season.

Kiwomya was disappointed to see Judge depart but is already working hard on finding a player that can fill the void.

He told the official site: “Alan Judge will be a very difficult player to replace but he deserves it because he’s a good player and he’s shown his quality in this league.

“Good luck to Alan, because he’s a good pro and he’s served Notts County well.

“If all the players can give as much commitment and input as him into the team, I’d like them to move on as well, but I’d just hope that we’d get some money for them!

“I think I can find the players to fill the gap, even if loan players have to come into it.

“I feel that we’ve got a bright future here at Notts County and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
