Notts County Football in the Community is in the running for an accolade at the upcoming Nottingham Post Business Awards.
FITC has been shortlisted for the Not For Profit Award, following another year of excellent work throughout Nottingham.
By delivering a range of innovative programmes that make a positive difference to a variety of people, across all ages, FITC place a keen focus on raising aspirations in some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised areas of the city.
“We’re really pleased to be nominated for a Nottingham Post Business Award, it’s not only great to receive praise for the projects we deliver, but to be nominated for our business achievements is very complimentary," said FITC community director Steve Hill.
"We pride ourselves in effectively managing all elements of our business to enable us to make the biggest contribution possible for our local community.”
The independent community sports charity received recognition on two occasions in 2012, having been awarded Football League’s Community Club of the Year for the Midlands and Nottingham Evening Post’s Community Award.
The Nottingham Post Business Awards presentation ceremony will take place on Thursday 23 May at the East Midlands Conference Centre.
