Bishop: It’s Do Or Die

1 March 2013

Notts County need to put a run together that outdoes last term’s impressive surge for the Play-Offs, says Neal Bishop.

In 2011.12, Notts were eight points adrift of the top six with 16 games remaining.

10 wins and three draws saw the Magpies only miss out on the end of season knockout to Stevenage - on goal difference.

At present, County are nine points below the Play-Off places with 12 games remaining and Bishop feels that the squad need to act now if they are to make something of the season.

He told Magpie Player: “We need to put a run together that’s probably bigger and better than the one we had at the end of last season.

“It’s going to be a big ask but we’ve got the players here to do that and we’ve got the squad to do it, if we get injuries and suspensions.

“It’s going to need everyone on board and pulling in the same direction but, while it’s still mathematically possible, we’ll give it our best.”

He continued: “There hasn’t been a standout team this season and it shows that if you can put a run together – four or five wins, which is probably what we need at this stage of the season – we can get right back in there.

“It’s do or die now, we need to put that run together or we are going to run out of time.”
