Chris Kiwomya sees the Magpies' next four games as massive in the hunt for the npower League 1 Play-Offs.
Following this Saturday's Meadow Lane encounter with Carlisle United (3pm kick-off), Notts face three further matches inside the next 10 days, against Leyton Orient, Crawley and Preston North End.
County head into the run of fixtures nine points adrift of the top six and Kiwomya sees no reason why his side cannot make up serious ground.
The aim is to remain in contention of the Play-Offs ahead of a series of meetings with their promotion rivals, as the season draws to a close.
"I don't see it as a long way off and that's what I'm aiming for and I think if we get back-to-back wins we're back in it," said the first team manager in his pre-match press conference.
"We should have had back-to-back wins against Bury and Tranmere, we haven't managed to do that but we're still only nine points off so we can do that.
"If we can go into these games and get points at home and then go away and do what we've been doing, I can see us being there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
"These next four games are vitally important."
He added: "We've still got the likes of Swindon and Brentford to play so they will be massive games.
"If we're still in it over the next two or three games when we play these teams, that'll be massively important.
"If the fans can get behind us, then we can get victories against these teams."
