Notts Drawn At Home To Fleetwood

17 June 2013

Notts County have been handed a home tie against Fleetwood Town in the first round of this season’s Capital One Cup, after the draw was made on Monday morning.

Chris Kiwomya’s men were seeded in the northern section of the draw for the opening round of the competition, based on their league position last season, which meant they could face one of 18 non-seeded opponents.

The Magpies now know that they will face League 2 side Fleetwood, meaning a quick return to Meadow Lane for midfielder Jeff Hughes, who signed for the Cod Army on a two-year deal this summer.

This will be the first competitive game between the two sides and will take place during the week commencing Monday 5 August, with a confirmed date, kick-off time and ticket details all to follow in due course.

With the first competitive match of the 2013.14 campaign now confirmed, remember to visit the official website on Wednesday 19 June at 9am for confirmation of the full league fixture list for the new season.
