Parachute Jump For Kidney Cancer UK

3 July 2013

Notts fan Tanicha Simpson has decided to put her fears to one side and jump out of a plane to help raise money for Kidney Cancer UK on May 9th 2014 at Langar air strip...

The charity is very close to the Kopite’s heart as she sadly lost two members of her family to the disease and she now hopes to raise as much money as possible and make a difference.

Tanicha’s father Trevor Simpson was a lifelong Magpie and travelled home and away to watch his beloved club.

The 18-year-old told the Official Site: “I've never done a parachute jump, but I am so excited that I'm doing it and I chose to go for the extreme I thought a run or walk isn't my kind of thing and I've always liked to be the daring one, so I thought a parachute jump would be the perfect thing.

“My father & mamma died of kidney cancer and at the same time it's making more people aware there's more cancer then the ones spoke about.

“I've not really got a target to reach donation-wise, but I’d just like to raise as much as I possibly can to make a difference & perhaps give somebody else the healthy life my Dad lost.

“My Dad’s final game went to the Coventry game last season and the club was fantastic. I can't thank Notts enough for the way they treated him.

“I am so grateful to the fans that have already donated and would like to say a further thank you to them. Together we can make a difference.”
