Notts County development squad defeated local outfit Arnold Town on Thursday evening.
Romello Nangle put Notts in front at the Eagle Valley Stadium, following fine work by Curtis Thompson, though the hosts managed to get back onto level terms.
Malachi Lavelle-Moore secured the 2-1 victory for the Magpies with a close-range finish from Kyle Dixon’s near-post corner.
The fixture gave the players that have seen less game time this pre-season a chance to get some minutes under their belt, such as Haydn Hollis, Manny Smith and Malcolm Melvin.
It also gave the coaching staff an opportunity to look at a number of trialists.
County are next in action against Rayo Vallecano at Meadow Lane on Tuesday 23 July (7.30pm kick-off)
