J&J Plinth Names Sold Out

25 July 2013

The Jimmy & Jack Statue Fund has announced that all of the plinth names have now been taken up by Notts County supporters.

In a successful attempt to raise cash towards the statue of club legends Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler, the Fund gave fans an opportunity to have their names engraved on the proposed monument.

It was announced earlier this week that only a handful of spaces remained but all 1,000 slots have now been filled.

The club's all-time top scorer and patron of the Fund Les Bradd has been a key driver in getting fans to add their names to the statue plinth and was delighted with the news.

He told the official site: "To see the last 130 taken up so quickly has been great to see and we're now closing in on the big total.

"We are still encouraging anyone that wants to help to do so as we still need to raise quite a bit of cash to make this statue a reality.

"It would be great to do it by the end of the season and see the statue of Jimmy and Jack at Meadow Lane where it belongs."

Around £50,000 has now been raised towards the overall target of £75,000.
