Dumbuya Loving Life With Notts

8 July 2013

New recruit Mustapha Dumbuya was delighted to play his first 90 minutes in the black and white stripes on Sunday evening.

Dumbuya linked up with his new teammates for the trip to Finland after signing for the club last week.

The pacy right-back was not only solid defensively, he caused plenty of problems going forward and set up the Magpies’ fourth goal with a low cross.

“It was nice to get a run out, I haven’t had a 90 in a while so it was good,” the former Crawley Town man told Magpie Player.

“We’ve got an energetic team and when we lost the ball within three or four seconds we had it back so it’s looking positive.

“We’ve got to gel now, we’ve got a few weeks until the season starts and games like this are going to help us.

“It’s been good to get away from all the hectic back home and it’s allowed us to concentrate on building up our fitness and getting ready for the season.”

Many supporters watched Dumbuya’s debut via a live internet stream and posted postitive messages about his performance.

“It means a lot because at the end of the day you want to play for the fans,” he continued.

“Hopefully we can get this club to where they want it to be.”
