Boucaud Set For Squad Return

22 July 2013

Andre Boucaud is set to return to Meadow Lane following Trinidad & Tobago’s exit from the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Boucaud helped the Soca Warriors to reach the Quarter Final stage of the tournament with an impressive 90-minute performance in their final group game against Hoduras.

However, the midfielder was unable to prevent Mexico from knocking Trinidad & Tobago out of the competition on Saturday night.

Mexico prevailed with a 1-0 victory, secured by Raul Jiminez’s 85th minute finish.

Boucaud played 87 minutes in the game but will now link up with his Notts County teammates ahead of the new campaign, which kicks off against Sheffield United on 2 August.

Striker Yoann Arquin, who had represented Martinique in the Gold Cup, is now back with the Magpies and could feature against Ray Vallecano.

The Vallecano fixture is the second home friendly of the pre-season preparations and will kick-off at 7.30pm on Tuesday 23 July.
