First team manager Chris Kiwomya cannot wait to officially kick-off an exciting pre-season campaign this afternoon.
Notts face a stern test when they take on former European champions and the most successful Romanian outfit in history, Steaua Bucharest.
This is the first of seven friendies that also include tough clashes with Galatasaray, Rayo Vallecano and Ipswich Town.
Kiwomya is excited about the upcoming fixtures as the team prepares for the 2013.14 season.
He told Magpie Player: “There’s some tough games coming up but I think it will be good for the lads.
“That’s where you’re going to get the tests and the fitness, but I think they’ll be good football matches.
“I think it’s good that the club has been able to get teams like Galatasaray down here.
“It’s a great coup and the board have done very well.”
