Bell Here To Win

20 July 2013

There was no happier man than the Magpies’ latest recruit, when the players reported for training on Friday morning.

Creative wideman David Bell had just signed on the dotted line to confirm his switch to Notts County, after mutually terminating his contract with Coventry City.

The Irishman had been told that he had no future at his former club and had been linked with a move to Meadow Lane during the summer.

Bell is delighted to have finally made the switch and is confident of success in the black and white stripes.

He told Magpie Player: “When I play I like to be positive and give everything I’ve got, because I like to win.

“I like to think that I can add something to the squad and that we can have a real positive year.

“The standard in training is very high and we’ve got some good players here.

“Looking around the squad, I’m really optimistic about the season ahead.”

First team manager Chris Kiwomya was thrilled to get Bell on board, after weeks of waiting.

He added: “We’re really pleased, he’s a good player and I think he’s one of the best players in the division at delivering crosses.

“He can be really effective for us and the board have done excellent in helping me to get him in so we’re really, really happy.”
