Tommy Johnson will be our special guest for the Magpies' npower League 1 meeting with Sheffield United.
Johnson was originally set to join us for the postponed Christmas fixture with Leyton Orient but he has kindly agreed to reschedule for the visit of the Blades on Saturday 19 January.
The former Aston Villa and Derby County striker made 149 appearances and scored 57 times for the Magpies between 1988 and 1991, helping the team to back-to-back promotions into the top flight under Neil Warnock.
He also represented United in the latter stages of his career but made only one appearance in the red and white stripes.
Johnson will re-live his playing days and time as a coach at Meadow Lane in a pre-match interview with matchday host Colin Slater.
