Notts County are delighted to announce the signing of Manchester United striker John Cofie on an initial one-month youth loan.
Cofie, who was snapped up by United after impressing for Burnley as a youngster, spent the first part of this season on loan at Sheffield United, making eight league starts and scoring two goals for the Blades.
The 20-year-old made 18 appearances for Sheffield United in total before returning to Old Trafford in January, and he is keen to gain more first team action as he continues to develop as a player.
Notts agreed a deal with Manchester United on Thursday afternoon and the player was at Meadow Lane on Friday morning to complete his move, after meeting with caretaker manager Chris Kiwomya.
Cofie will wear the number 19 shirt and has signed in time to make his Notts debut in Saturday’s npower League 1 match against Crewe Alexandra here at Meadow Lane.
