Notts County Football Club’s junior supporters celebrated the festive season with Santa, Mr & Mrs Magpie and the players at the annual Team Magpies Christmas Party.
Over 60 members enjoyed games and dancing in the Meadow Lane Sports Bar and were treated to a number of special visits.
The entire first team squad and management staff stopped off to sign autographs and pose for photos with the youngsters, before a special visit from Santa Claus himself.
Mr and Mrs Magpies had a great night with the junior supporters.
Mrs Magpie squawked: “I always love coming to these parties, it’s a time for me and Mr Magpie to get together with all of our fantastic young supporters and have some fun on the dance floor.”
Mr Magpie nodded his beak and flapped his wings in agreement, adding: “We just love meeting all of the club’s fans, young and old.
“They’re why we’re here and we hope our junior supporters’ family keeps growing.
“We also hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did and will come back again next year.
“For now we’ll look forward to seeing all the supporters at the home games and wish them a Merry Magpies Christmas.”
As well as the first team squad, manager Shaun Derry also attended the Christmas Party.
He said: “It’s been great getting to meet the junior supporters following my return to Meadow Lane.
“Young supporters are the future of the club, so it’s always good for the players to attend and support events like these. The atmosphere is fantastic.”
A prize draw also took place on the night, which gave two members the chance to be a mascot for the Colchester game in March, and this will include a full strip courtesy of event sponsors, the Jimmy & Jack CIC.
The club would like to thank the Jimmy & Jack CIC
for their support, as well as Medoc
, who made a generous donation towards the event.
Team Magpies also have regular football training sessions available before every Saturday match game at Portland Leisure Centre.
