No Excuses, Just Positivity

10 August 2013

Notts County will head into Saturday's match in a positive frame of mind, despite a lack of defensive numbers, says first team manager Chris Kiwomya.

Notts are without suspended duo Gary Liddle and Manny Smith, as well as Haydn Hollis, who is sidelined with a long-term knee injury.

This leaves Kiwomya with just one natural centre-back for the visit of in-form Peterborough United - skipper Dean Leacock.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game, he said: "A lot of managers say the same and we've had a bit of bad luck.

"Sometimes when you get these things against you, you just have to readjust and try to get on with it.

"We've just got to get on with it and not use it as an excuse when we go out against Peterborough.

"They're playing well and they're a good team, but we've got to take away all the excuses.

"We'll go out there and give 100 per cent, just like we did on Wednesday night."
