It started out as a good day for skipper Dean Leacock, as he netted the opening goal against Peterborough United…
However, at the final whistle, the goal was irrelevant to the central defender, as the Magpies had been beaten 4-2 by Posh.
Although a number of key decisions did not go Notts' way, such as the referee's decision not to give a penalty when away defender Kgosi Ntlhe blocked a cross with his hand, Leacock pulled no punches about the team's performance.
"It was nice to get the goal but it's a disappointed dressing room and it counts for nothing now," he said.
"I'm real disappointed and in the second half we didn't come out, didn't get close to them and they overpowered us in the end.
"Maybe we should have had a bit more but a few of us have got to look at ourselves and see if we really want it.
"We've got to be better than that because they're not a million miles better than us but it looked like it on Saturday."
He added: "Anyone's good if you let them play, whether it's Fleetwood or anyone.
"We're at a our home ground and we shouldn't be letting teams do that to us.
"We need to have a look at ourselves individually and we'll come together on Monday, have a look at the video and take it from there."
