Bell Will Get Better With Games

19 August 2013

Winger David Bell was just pleased to get on the pitch at the weekend, following a restricted start to life with Notts County.

Bell made his competitive Notts debut off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Walsall at the Banks's Stadium.

The former Coventry City play-maker certainly made an impression with a tricky performance on the left wing.

Bell was happy with the impact he made off the bench and feels that he can get better as he gains match practice in the coming weeks.

He said: "It's been a little bit disappointing this last two weeks because I had a little niggle with my hamstring but I'm delighted to get on the pitch.

"The manager's brought me in to get wide and get balls into the box and try to make things happen.

"I'd like to think that the more games that I play and the fitter that I get, the better I'll get.

"I'm playing catch-up a little bit at the minute given that I haven't had a pre-season.

"I'm looking forward to playing more minutes now and getting going."
