First team manager Chris Kiwomya is desperate for Notts to make it three league wins on the spin for the first time this term in this weekend’s clash with Coventry City.
Notts made it back-to-back wins for the first time since October with last weekend’s 1-0 triumph over high-flying Doncaster Rovers, a result that followed on from the 3-1 victory at home to Colchester United.
This weekend’s Meadow Lane fixture (3pm kick-off) can see the Magpies head into the summer on a high note after a positive couple of weeks.
Kiwomya wants to see the same commitment and energy that was on show at the Keepmoat Stadium last Saturday and aims to give the home fans more reasons to be optimistic about the 2013.14 campaign.
“It’s nice to go into the final game on the back of two good victories and I’ve seen a lot of progress in the last two games,” he told the press.
“I’ve always said that we’re looking for consistency and now it’s about getting those back-to-back-to-back victories.
“I want to see the same commitment that we saw away at Doncaster again this week.”
He added: “Against Doncaster, who were on the verge of promotion, I think our players had something to prove.
“We felt that we should have been up there but we’re not and there’s a reason why we’re not.
“If we could have had more of those performances then we’d be higher up the table.”
