Bishop: Let’s Go Out With A Bang

27 April 2013

Skipper Neal Bishop has returned to full fitness and is eager for the Magpies to end the season on a high note.

Bishop has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury but hopes to make a comeback for the final day clash with Coventry City at Meadow Lane.

The midfielder has been a key performer this term and, although disappointed that the team has fallen short of the Play-Offs, he is eager give the home faithful a positive performance that their support has deserved.

“These end-of-season games can sometimes turn into friendlies and supporters don’t want to see that,” he told the press.

“The fans are still paying their money and it’s the same price as it was at the start of the season, so they want to see the same effort and commitment.

“To get three wins on the bounce would send people away positive and maybe looking forward to the season a bit more than they were four or five weeks ago.

“It’s massively important, because the fans are the lifeblood of the club and if they stop coming it hurts the football club.

“We need the supporters on side and hopefully we can send them all into the summer with smiles on their faces.”

Tickets for the Sky Blues clash are available at www.nottscountydirect.co.uk.
