Manager looking forward to Dons test this evening...

Notts County face arguably their toughest challenge of the season this evening at stadium:mk.

Milton Keynes Dons were ranked as second favourites to win npower League 1 prior to the campaign kicking off, after finishing in the Play-Off positions in three of the last four seasons.

Notts head into the fixture with plenty of confidence, having taken 13 points from the opening six matches.

First team manager Keith Curle expects a difficult test from Karl Robinson’s men but has every belief that the Magpies can bring all three points back to Meadow Lane.

“Out of the teams we’ve played nobody would have said that they are potential top six finishers,” he told Magpie Player.

“People automatically would have said that MK Dons will finish in one of the top six berths.

“We’re looking forward to it but it doesn’t matter if we’re playing Bury, Crewe, Shrewsbury, our preparation will be exactly the same, because we know we can beat them.

“We know we’ve got the armoury to beat them but we know that they’ve got firepower as well, they’ve got a style, a strategy, a philosophy and a style of play that we need to disrupt.”

He added: “They’ve got a desire to reach the Championship and then take the next step as well.

“They’ve got a good young manager and a fantastic backroom staff, and they’ve got some good players.

“All the things you can tick the boxes about MK Dons, there’s a lot of boxes that get ticked at Notts County.”
