Former loanee will be back at Meadow Lane on Monday...
Damion Stewart could make a permanent move to Meadow Lane, says first team manager Keith Curle.
Stewart enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Magpies at the back end of 2011.12, appearing 19 times and scoring twice as the team pushed for the Play-Offs.
The Jamaican international, 32, reached a mutual agreement with former club Bristol City over the termination of his contract ahead of the transfer window closing, meaning that he is free to join Notts if a deal can be agreed.
Speaking to Magpie Player after the 2-0 win over Bury, Curle revealed: “Damion Stewart likes Notts County from when he came here and I worked with him at Queen’s Park Rangers.
“I like Damion as a person, he’s a man, he’s a leader and he’s a good defender.
“He’s available and Damion’s going to come up, we’re going to take a look at him from the start of next week and see if something can be done.
“I like to have good people around me that not only want to play for me but they want to play for the football club because they’ve enjoyed their time here.”
