Notts County’s league position is pumping confidence through the team, says Joss Labadie.

The Magpies are third in npower League 1 and unbeaten in the last five matches heading into Saturday’s clash with Portsmouth.

Labadie has every belief that Notts can extend the run against Pompey but knows that they will provide a stern test at Meadow Lane.

“It’s good to be front runners at this early stage of the season and to be up there in the mix is only good for the team,” said Labadie on Magpie Player.

“It’s giving us confidence and teams are looking at us and they want to take games to us because we’re doing so well at the moment.

“To get a draw away at MK Dons, who are one of the best passing teams in the division, was a massive achievement.

“It just shows what a force we are this season.”

He continued: “Portsmouth have got some good players and they’re going to try and pick up some points against us.

“We’re going to approach the game like any other and try to get the three points once again.”
