Notts County youth team twice came from behind to earn a point against Grimsby Town in their Saturday fixture at Highfields.

The young Magpies went behind in the 30th minute but a cool finish by Malachi Lavelle-Moore sent them into the break on level terms.

The Mariners struck again half way into the second period and looked set to take all three points.

In the dying stages, Glodie Bange rescued a point for Notts with a stunning hit.

Youth team coach Brett Adams told the official site: “I was pleased for Glodie, he worked hard all game and fully deserved his goal.

“There was resilience and desire to our game, but we need to start being the team that scores first and start cutting out the sloppy mistakes.

“I’m pleased for the lads, they’re showing willingness to hold onto the points and they fought on until the last minute.

“We’ve got some good momentum heading into next week’s game as we’re two unbeaten now.”
