Three Points For The Ladies

1 October 2012

The female Magpies claimed three points at the weekend…

Notts County Ladies gained their first win of the season at the weekend with a 5-1 win against Pinxton.

Despite going behind early on, the Magpies made their dominance pay and went into the interval 4-1 up, thanks to goals from Robyn Henton, Alex Francis (2), Courtney Walters.

Henton added another goal after the break and there was no way back for Pinxton.

Ladies boss Andrew Eastwood told the official site: “I’m really pleased again with the team’s performance.

“The difference this week was our desire to win the game, going out to finish our opposition off in the first period.

“We then went on to battle hard in the second period to deny them any chance of getting back into the game.”

The Ladies are now fourth in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League, having recorded one win, one draw and one loss.

The Ladies’ development team also claimed a 15-0 victory in their clash with Aspley and are now top of the Notts Girls and Ladies Football League.
