Jordan Stewart heads up Tuesday night’s edition of the club’s official matchbook…
In an exclusive interview with #themag, Jordan Stewart said that he has not enjoyed his football this much in a long time.
Stewart agreed a short-term deal with the club earlier this month and has gone on to impress over the last four matches.
Although the defender prefers to play on the left side of midfield, he does not mind playing at left-back, as first team manager Keith Curle has given him a license to get forward as much as possible.
“If I’m in the team where I can play left-back and go forward I don’t mind, but I’ve been at teams before where it’s not allowing me to go forward, which didn’t suit me,” he told #themag.
“Obviously the team play attacking football and the gaffer likes the full-backs to get forward at the right times, which suits my play.
“It’s good and I was saying to Gavin Mahon the other day, it’s the first time for a long while that I’ve enjoyed playing the way we play.
“I think the team that we’ve got here is a very good squad, even the people that are coming off the bench.
“Hopefully we can push on and get as many victories as we can and gain promotion.”
The former Millwall man covers a number of topics, including his American ambitions, clothing line and experiences of playing abroad.
