Ladies make it back-to-back wins with another convincing result…
Notts County Ladies thumped Scunthorpe outfit Appleby Frodingham 7-0 at the weekend.
Although the Magpies totally dominated the opening 45, they were only able to find the net on two occasions, through Jasmin Bear’s cross-come-shot and Alexandra Johnson’s back-post header.
Notts made up for it in the second period by adding a further five goals, the first coming from Courtney Walters, who drove low into the bottom corner after a smart turn on the edge of the box.
Walters added her second of the game, when she nodded home after great work by Bear, before wrapping up her hat-trick with a cool finish 10 minutes from time.
Two minutes later, debutant Anna Horton made it 6-0 with a great strike into the bottom corner.
Walters added her fourth and Notts’ seventh in the dying stages with a neat finish from another superb Bear pass.
