Another big donation by Notts County Lifeline sees Lifeline break the £100k mark...

Lifeline moved a step closer to setting a new record after donating a further £25,000 to the club at Tuesday night’s Lifeline Gala.

The donation now means this year’s amount is up to £105,000 – only £5,000 short of last year’s £110,000 total.

Chairman Ray Trew told the packed out 1862 Suite: “Me and my family are very grateful to Lifeline and the fantastic work they do.

“Every cheque helps and the forecast each year is going lower.

“I don’t want to say my prospects for this year, but I am quietly confident, especially after the start we have made.”

Five lucky Lifeliners were announced as big winners on the night, which saw them claim some fantastic prizes, including a holiday, a brand new car, a MacBook Pro and £10,000.

£10,000 - Tony Walker (Newmarket) - 0277
Car - Jane Nickolls (Gedling) - 1369
Holiday - Dave Tempest (Woodthorpe) - 1255
MacBook Pro - Mr A Morrison (Clifton) - 1686
£1,000 - Peter Howarth (Cinderhill) - 0356

The board, management and a number of first team players attended the event.

The night, sponsored by Premier Maintenance, was a great success as guests enjoyed a delicious four-course meal before being entertained by comedian Syd Dennis.

Further funds were raised for Lifeline through the raffle and auction.

The next Lifeline event, the Christmas Party, is sure to be another sellout so make sure you purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment.
