Notts County have completed a double swoop in time for today’s npower League 1 clash with Tranmere Rovers.
Defender Ashley Eastham has arrived on a one-month loan from Championship Blackpool and free agent Jordan Stewart has agreed a short-term deal with the club.
Eastham, 21, arrives with experience of League 1 football, having appeared 27 times for Bury during 2011.12.
The promising centre-back has also enjoyed spells on loan with Cheltenham Town, Carlisle United and, most recently, Fleetwood Town.
Stewart, 30, has been training with the Magpies squad and has done enough to earn a contract, after leaving Millwall in the summer.
The left-back, who is also capable as a centre-back and left winger, has spent most of his career in the top two divisions, representing the likes of Leicester City, Derby County and Sheffield United.
Both are available for selection for today’s match, which kicks off at 3pm.
