Manager will continue to give his players attacking freedom in the upcoming home fixtures with AFC Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers…
Keith Curle is encouraging his team to continue their attack-minded approach to home matches.
Notts have lost the last three games at Meadow Lane but spirits in the camp are high following back-to-back league wins on the road.
Curle knows it is only a matter of time before the Magpies start replicating their away form on home soil and has faith in his team to overcome AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
“I’m confident that we will win games at home but teams will come to try and stop us from playing our natural game,” said Curle.
“Sometimes we need to have a plan B and people say that we’re more suited to playing away from home.
“As far as I’m concerned, the goals that we’ve conceded and the games we’ve lost at home have not been anything to do with formation or tactics.
“It’s purely about individual mistakes on the day, and sometimes that willingness and desire to get forward that can leave us exposed.
“It might be sometimes in the home games that we have lost that if were slightly negative we’d have settled for a point.
“We’d have an extra three points but the winning mentality we’ve got at this football club, we want to go and win games.
“Against Stevenage, against Tranmere, they’re all games that we could have won – against Walsall, again.
“There’s a saying that negativity courts company but I don’t abide by it and I don’t want negativity around me.
“We’ve got systems in play and the players are buying into it because we will be successful.”
