Three Points – The Perfect Present

16 November 2012

Keith Curle celebrated his birthday on Wednesday but the only present he wants from his squad is three points.

The Magpies travel to Glanford Park on Saturday to take on Scunthorpe United.

Notts are in fine form at present, having taken seven points from the last three matches.

This weekend’s opponents have picked up in recent weeks under new boss Brian Laws and head into the clash following back-to-back victories.

“It’s going to be a difficult game, they’re on a run of form under a new manager,” Curle told Magpie Player.

“It’s always a difficult place to go and play but we’ve had a little bit of success there recently.

“As with most club’s, there’s an upsurge in commitment and application by the players, because they want to impress the new manager and stay in the team.

“Brian will be mindful that he’s had a couple of good results away from home and he’ll be trying to get that result at home now as well.

“Our performance levels have been very encouraging and if we can maintain that level of performance the results will follow, home and away.”
