Stewart Returns To Meadow Lane

Former loan star returns to Notts County on short-term deal...

Notts County are delighted to announce that former loanee Damion Stewart has returned to the club, signing a short-term contract.

Stewart, who made 18 appearances for the club during a loan spell from Championship side Bristol City in the latter half of the 2011.12 season, has been training with Notts in recent weeks as he awaited a work permit to allow him to complete a move back to Meadow Lane.

The 32-year-old Jamaican international put pen-to-paper on the deal on Thursday afternoon and has now had clearance to seal his move, meaning that he is available for this weekend’s FA Cup with Budweiser First Round clash at Portsmouth.

Stewart, who helped Notts keep seven clean sheets during his previous spell with the club, will bring a wealth of experience to a backline that has been hampered by injuries this season.
