Skipper Pleased With Point

21 November 2012

Neal Bishop was happy with the point gained at Deepdale on Tuesday night.

Notts fought out a 0-0 draw with Preston North End in a match that saw the team soak up a lot of pressure.

Bishop was proud of the Magpies’ commitment and pleased to extend the unbeaten away run to 19 matches.

He said: “Any point away from home is a good point and none will come harder earnt than that one this season.

“It was backs to the wall for the majority of the second half but fair play to the lads, they stood up fantastically well and I can’t remember them creating any clear cut chances.

“We had a game plan and we wanted to be more offensive then we were, but unfortunately we weren’t reacting attacking-wise and on the ball.

“You’re not going to be like that every game and it’s important that we showed the other side to our game.

“We dug in, defended well and kept the clean sheet, which I think our performance merited.”
