Notts Will Take The Positives

11 November 2012

Defender already targeting three points on Saturday after draw with Crawley...

The disappointment of dropping two points in the Meadow Lane clash with Crawley Town will only motivate the Magpies, according to Dean Leacock.

A dazzling first half display saw Notts take the lead over promotion rivals Crawley Town, with Neal Bishop finding the net.

However, moments before the break, former County loanee Jonathan Forte scored at close range.

Despite creating more great openings in the second period, Keith Curle’s side had to settle for a share of the spoils.

“The lads were down after the goal before half time but the staff got us going again at the break,” said Leacock.

“We created a few more chances in the second half and we’re disappointed that we didn’t get the win.

“This wasn’t our day, they came here for the draw and they were happy with the draw.

“It feels like a defeat but we’ve got a point and we’ll look at the positives.

“We’ll take the point and we’ll build on that for next Saturday against Scunthorpe.

“We’ve beaten them there already this season and we’re full of confidence so hopefully we can get the three points.”
