Movie Screening Moved To Legends Day

1 November 2012

Notts County will be staging a very special Legends Day on Sunday 18 November...

The club would like to announce that the planned showing of ‘Notts County: The Movie’, which had been scheduled for Friday 30 November has now been moved forwards to form part of a bumper day of celebration on Sunday 18 November.

The screening, which is to be shown on a specially erected 12m wide inflatable screen situated in the centre circle on the Meadow Lane pitch, will now take place after a special Notts County Legends match on the Sunday afternoon.

Doors will open at 12pm on Sunday 18 November and a host of famous faces from Notts County’s past, including the likes of Michael Johnson, Dave Regis, Tommy Johnson and Mark Stallard will be holding a signing session in the 1862 Suite from that time.

Keith Curle’s current first team squad will also be present on the day and will be joining in with the signing session, giving you the chance to get up close to Notts players old and new on what promises to be a very memorable day.

Two teams of legends will then take to the pitch for a 2pm kick-off, with special guest Jackie Sewell taking the first kick of the game that will see more famous faces such as Phil Turner, Paul Harding, Steve Cherry, Gary Jones, Gary Lund and Craig Short go up against each other in a game to celebrate the club’s 150th anniversary.

Once all of the action is completed on the pitch, the players will make way for the giant screen and the showing of a specially extended version of the Notts County video feature that was first shown at the Gala Banquet back in June.

Bars and catering outlets will be open throughout the day for refreshments and hospitality packages are available for those looking to make the occasion all the more special. For more information on this, or to book, please contact the Commercial Team on 0115 9557 241.

Everyone who buys a programme on the day will be entered into a draw to win a signed, match worn Alan Judge shirt from the current season.

Tickets for the whole day, including the legends match and the video screening, are just £5, making this a great value event for all Notts fans to join together and celebrate the club’s 150th anniversary in the month that we were founded.

Premier seating, in the padded executive seating area of the Derek Pavis Stand, is also available, at a price of £7.50 per seat, which includes a car parking space in the main car park for every two tickets purchased. For more information on this, or to book, please contact the Commercial Team on 0115 9557 241.

All those that purchased tickets for the original date of the screening should note that their tickets will still be valid, or can be refunded if they are unable to make the rearranged date obviously.

To make the day even more memorable for two lucky supporters, every adult that purchases their tickets in advance will be entered into a draw to win the chance to actually play alongside the Notts County legends in the match.

So get in quick to book your preferred seat and get your name in the hat for a very special prize.

Tickets are available now online at www.nottscountydirect.co.uk (click on events), in person at the Meadow Lane ticket office, or by phone on 0115 9557 210.
