The young Magpies made it two wins in a row...

Notts County made it two wins in two after an impressive 3-1 away victory over Lincoln City, a side who had beaten the young Magpies earlier in the season in the FA Youth Cup.

Attacking midfielder Kyle Dixon scored a brace, whilst Glodie Bange opened the scoring.

Bange’s goal was set up by Dixon in the 11th minute, after a great run and cross from the wideman.

And Notts doubled their advantage through Dixon just after the half-hour mark . Full-back Kameron Campbell this time the provider.

With 15-minutes to go, it was that man again in the thick of the action, this time netting after striker James Randall had created the opening.

Youth Team Coach Brett Adams told the Official Site: “I’m delighted for the lads.  It was a fantastic result. We established a bit of pride back after going out of the cup against them.

“All the goals were well taken and really well worked, right from the goalkeeper throwing it out, out to the full-backs and ending with a goal.

“We build the play up really well, so it was great to see something we have working on in training come off.

“We kept the same side again and they’ve done fantastically well the last two games. We’ve only featured four second-years, one Under 16 and the rest all first-years. A lot of the time we are going against a squad full of second-years.

“That’s why it’s so pleasing to get these results, because we are sending out a very young team and they are showing the right desire.

Remember fans can come down and watch the Midland Youth Cup game against Grimsby Town  tonight at Meadow Lane with a 7pm kick-off.
