Alan Judge believes that the Magpies’ latest loan signing can be a big hit at Meadow Lane.
Judge netted the winner in the weekend’s victory over Swindon Town, after latching onto a flick-on from his newest teammate, Chris Iwelumo.
The powerful frontman arrived from Championship Watford ahead of the game and Judge has already seen how he can benefit the team.
The Irishman told Magpie Player: “The big man’s brilliant and I knew of him before he came here.
“I’ve played against him a few times and you know what you’re going to get.
“Everybody’s happy that we’ve got someone that can hold the ball up for us, it’s what we’ve been looking for.
“Our partnership will hopefully get a bit better, because I won a lot of flick-ons from him on Saturday.”
He continued: “He’s helping me get my goals so I’ve got to help him get a few.
“I’m sure that he’ll get a few goals with the service that we can provide for him, with Jeff [Hughes], Jamal [Campbell-Ryce] when he’s back and Francois [Zoko] as well.”
