Young Magpies bounce back with a win...
Notts County youth team claimed a convincing win over Rotherham United at Highfields this weekend.
The Magpies took a four-goal lead over the Millers, through goals from Romello Nangle (2), Kyle Dixon and a trialist.
Nangle opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Dixon added another on 15.
Nangle then added his second on the stroke of half time and the trialist gave Notts a fourth within two minutes of the restart.
United staged second half fight back and pulled two goals back but County fully deserved the three points.
Youth team coach Brett Adams had called for his players to prove that they are worthy of a professional contract before the game and was pleased to see the reaction he got.
He told the official site: “We’re highly delighted with the performance, we passed it well and played out from the back.
“The lads stuck to the gameplan and got their rewards.
“There’s no reason why they shouldn’t get noticed if they continue to play like that.
“We want more of the same when we play Lincoln City next Saturday.”
