Joss Labadie can become a big success at Notts County Football Club, says Enoch Showunmi.

Labadie, who arrived at Meadow Lane after leaving Tranmere Rovers in the summer, netted twice in the weekend’s trip to Scarborough Athletic, helping the Magpies to a 3-2 win.

Showunmi played alongside the 21-year-old at Prenton Park and has high hopes for the midfielder in the black and white stripes.

“He’s a strong boy in midfield and he’s still got a lot to learn,” said the Nigerian international.

“I think under the guidance of the coaches and the manager here I think he can do really well.

“The world’s his oyster, he’s up and down, box-to-box, and he’s got a great engine and a great strike.

“He can pass the ball and, to be fair, he’s got a bit of everything, and if he settles in he can really do well for Notts.”

Look out for the latest updates from the team’s Spanish training camp on nottscountyfc.co.uk and Magpie Player.
