Thank You For Your Support

Nottinghamshire Hospice have thanked the club and support...

The partnership between Notts County Football Club and Nottinghamshire Hospice may have ended after last season, but the relationship formed by both organisations will continue for many years.

Last season the club raised over £6,000 to the local hospice and the club would like to thank all fans for their fantastic effort and support.

Corporate & Community Fundraiser Kate Purdue told the Official Site: "On behalf of the patients, staff and trustees of Nottinghamshire Hospice I would like to thank everyone at Notts County for all the support you have given us this season.

"Since the beginning of the season, you have raised £6,175.18, which has been achieved through, bucket collections, a donation from Lifeline, charity auctions, players whip round, raffles and donations by members of the public. We are delighted with this amount raised and it will go some way towards maintaining our services for local people with a life limiting illness in Nottingham.

"The patients have benefitted from the partnership too and are making good use of the bench and digital cameras you provided us with recently. They also enjoyed the visits from managers and players and the opportunity to visit your club at your recent 150th Anniversary Celebrations.

"All the players, management and staff have been an absolute pleasure to work with and we would love the opportunity to work with you again in the future.

"Thank you once again, and we wish you all the best for the 2012/13 football season."

PA to the Board Kate Lovett who has been key to organising events and donations to the hospice added: "It has been a great pleasure getting to know the staff and patients at Nottinghamshire Hospice.

"We have been involved in some fantastic events such as the Santa Stroll and we would like to thank all our supporters who have helped us raise these vital funds for the Hospice in so many different ways such as the Arch to Arc bike ride.

"A huge thank you also to Kate Purdue and her team who came to see us this morning with some fantastic cupcakes which were enjoyed by all the Meadow Lane staff.

"We are very proud of the relationship that has been formed between Notts County and Nottinghamshire Hospice and we are looking forward to continuing this over the coming years."
