Long-time Notts fan scoops poker prize...
The inaugural pre-season Notts County - DusktillDawn Poker League has been won by lifelong Notts County fan John Deabill.
John rocketed to victory with an impressive 410 points earned over the 10-week league from a field of over 30 registered players.
The 80-year-old also enjoyed picking up the rare hand of quad Aces, much the astonishment of all players including Notts commercial director Ken Sharp, who lost two third of his chips by calling the bet with a straight.
Fellow Magpies fans and local students Jonathan Wilson (left) and Dean Fido (right) tied for second place with 395 points each.
The new DusktillDawn Poker League season commences tonight (Thursday 19 July), with all County fans over the age welcome.
The top 10 players over the 12-week league will go into a league wide play-off for the chance to win a share of £10,000 in October.
Weekly entry is £7.50 with £5 going towards the prize pool for first, second and third places each week.
If you are interested in playing, be at the Navigation Inn at 7pm for registration.
Play commences at 7.30pm.
