Six FC Africa students are heading for distant shores in the New Year from 7 Jan until 29 March for a 3 month self-funded work placement in Burkina Faso, North West Africa.
The participants will be coaching the local children and getting a taste of the local culture.
The students have been studying on Notts County Football in the Community’s FC Africa course, in partnership with Central College (previously South Nottingham College), which provides them with City and Guilds, football and fitness qualifications.
They have also been volunteering on other FITC programmes in order to gain more experience working with our qualified coaches.
The students will be sending us photos and diary updates about their experience in their new surrounding and role, whilst they represent Notts County and Coaching for Hope in their day-to-day activities.
We wish them all the luck in their journey and exploration of Burkina Faso and can’t wait to hear about it on their return.
Bon Voyage to: Joe Taylor, Becky Williams, Ben Flynn, Joe Phillips, Amelia Lowe and Sarah French.
