Curle Wants Backlash Against Shrews

24 December 2012

Keith Curle wants his side to take their recent frustrations out on Shrewsbury Town in the upcoming Boxing Day clash at Greenhous Meadow.

Notts had been hoping to bounce back from two defeats with a big performance against Leyton Orient at the weekend, only for the match to be postponed for health and safety reasons.

A lot of preparation went into the fixture and the players were left massively disappointed by the match officials’ controversial decision.

Curle explained that his players remain just as determined to bounce back from a disappointing week.

“That’s part of my job as well, the mental preparation of the players,” he told Magpie Player.

“We’ll be focused and we’ll have a vision for what we want to do against Shrewsbury.

“We’ll be rested because we haven’t had this game against Leyton Orient.

“It was a fantastic game of football when we played them at Meadow Lane and we won 3-2.

“They’re well organised, disciplined and can score goals but so can we.

“We’ve got a fantastic ability to grind out results away from home and we’ll have to be on our metal.”
