It is only a matter of time before the Magpies hit a run of wins, says Keith Curle in anticipation of a busy Christmas schedule.
Notts head into this weekend’s npower League 1 match against Brentford without defeat in the last eight and can climb back into Play-Off places with three points.
Throughout the run, County have won three and drawn five, despite being without a number of key players, due to injuries and suspensions.
Now that the sidelined squad members are returning to full fitness and completing their bans, Curle sees no reason why his side cannot step up the pace, starting with this Saturday’s festive fixture.
“We’re ready for it, we’ve got a decent sized squad that’s had to deal with the upsets we’ve already had,” Curle told the press.
“We’re still being competitive and putting in combative performances, and that won’t change.
“It’s a great opportunity for us, if we can gain some positive results over this Christmas period, because you never know where that can take you.
“I think we’re probably the only team in the top seven or eight that hasn’t gone on a run of winning four or five games back-to-back.
“We’re more than capable of doing that so if that starts on Saturday so be it.”
