Bradford City prevail in youth team encounter…

Notts County youth team were defeated 2-1 by Bradford City youth team on Saturday morning.

The Bantams took the lead half way into the opening 45 but Matthew Crust was able to send Notts into the break on level terms, after his low drive deflected into the net.

Following the break, a well-worked goal put the hosts back in front and they were able to hold on to take all three points at Rawdon Meadows.

Youth team coach Brett Adams felt that his side controlled the match and unlucky not to come away with at least a point.

He told the Official Site: “In my opinion we totally dominated from start to finish.

“As expected, they were a physical and strong side but we played at a good tempo and our passing was good.

“We did everything that we’ve been working on, such as playing out from the back, but we were unfortunate on the day.

“We had enough chances to win the match and we need to be more ruthless in front of goal, though we’re confident that we’ll get there.

“They won’t have us moaning at them when they play like that but we’ve got to make sure that we pick ourselves up for next weekend for the local derby with Chesterfield.”
