Magpies Team Up With Local Gym

First team players will be making the most of ROKO Health Club...

Notts County Football Club is delighted to have agreed a deal for the first team to use the premier facilities at the West Bridgford ROKO Health Club.

Access to ROKO will allow the fitness staff to hold recovery and strength sessions, as well as give the players the option to work on their own personal programmes.

Strength & conditioning coach Nick Ward was thrilled with the arrangement.

He said: “It’s an excellent gym with plenty of equipment which I’m sure the boys will get plenty of use out of.

“We’ve already had great support from the trainers and staff here.

“The big thing for me is that the players can recover here in the pools, which will be beneficial for the squad.

“The players will be able to have their strength sessions here, so we can personalise the programmes for each player.

“It’s a great benefit in my role to have this facility available.

“It’s a great partnership for the club and we really appreciate ROKO coming on board with us.”

ROKO personal trainer Phil Hopkinson is also looking forward to the challenge working with the Notts players.

He said: “It’s great to get local players down and work with them.

“It’s interesting to see what work they will actually be doing.

“I will be helping them with their core strength and base strength.

Midfielder Alan Judge was also delighted with the deal and added: “The facilities here are brilliant.

“I’ve been a member before so I’m chuffed the deal is done.

“It’s got everything the lads need with the pools, jacuzzi, steam room and the massive gym.”
