It’s a big day for schools today, as pupils find out their GCSE results, and we’ve got plenty of information on what graduates can do next.
There’s Futsal, FC Africa and Football Foundation Learning, which can all be read on the homepage today.
We’ve also got plenty coming up for current primary and secondary school children, with our popular School of the Week and A Game of Two Halves schemes.
To get involved, make sure you contact community liaison officer Matthew Lawson on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0115 9529 000.
SCHOOL OF THE WEEK – FREE TICKETS FOR YOUR SCHOOL
School of the Week really took of last season, with local learning establishments gaining FREE tickets to every home league game.
The scheme allows school children the chance to watch live football at Meadow Lane along with their classmates.
"For some children it is the first ever live match they have seen and it certainly gives the children an exciting day.” Steve Behrend, Deputy Headmaster at Wilford Primary School
A GAME OF TWO HALVES – PROMOTING A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE
In partnership with the NHS, A Game of Two Halves targets Nottinghamshire school children with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Working with schools at grassroots level and with children in deprived areas is at the cornerstone of the club's community goals.
Backed by the Notts County squad, players help to put across the benefits that a healthy lifestyle can bring in sessions with young students.
"This is the most innovative intervention I have been involved in during my 20 years in the service. This exciting partnership between the Football Club and the Health Service is flourishing - it's a breath of fresh air." - Sophy Parkin, NHS community team leader
