Foundation Football Learning

23 August 2012

Did you not get the GCSE results you were expecting?

Football Foundation is a new one-year programme for 16-18 year old football players who did not obtain GCSEs at A to C that is delivered by FITC’s Education Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get back into education and improve your qualifications which could lead back into full-time education or employment.

Benefits include being able to play in the local college league, obtaining FA Levels 1 and 2 football coaching credentials and an accredited Sports Leaders coaching award, which you can use to pursue a career in sports coaching.

Students will gain Foundation Skills Qualifications in Maths and English that will provide you with a C Grade GCSE equivalent.

You can also acquire a BTEC Level 1 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Sports and Active Leisure and BTEC Level 1, Certificate, Award and Diploma in Workplace Skills.

If you are interested in Foundation Football then please contact Martin Carruthers, our Education Manager, for details on how to apply on 0115 955 7215.
