Always Striving To Improve

24 August 2012

Ambition means the Notts boss will never be happy...

Although the Magpies have started the season with maximum points from the first two games, Keith Curle remains eager to add new faces to his squad.

The County boss has his sights set on a frontman and a defender but is in no rush to complete the deals before the transfer window closes.

The potential recruits are currently contracted to other clubs, meaning there is also the possibility of bringing them to Meadow Lane on loan.

Curle is constantly looking for his side to progress and believes that he will never be satisfied because of his desire to reach the very top.

“The search for players is still ongoing, we’re getting closer and closer to bringing in another striker and we’re in talks with a defender as well,” he told Magpie Player.

“We’re always striving to improve and what you’ll find is that I will never be happy because of where I want to go.

“Where I want to go is upwards and weekly, daily, monthly, match-by-match, we need to improve.

“That’s why we work tirelessly on the training ground, because we know that there’s players here where there’s more to come from them.

“Individually and collectively there’s more to come from them as a squad and that’s the exciting thing.

“We’ve got some good players here and we’re trying to mould them and shape them into a unit.”

The Magpies’ clash with the Saddlers kicks off at 3pm. For full ticket details, click here.
