Sensational strikes from Jake Reeves and Jordan Barnett earned us a 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town.
Reeves opened the scoring in the first half with a magnificent 30-yard free-kick and Barnett made sure of the points when Reeves turned provider, flicking the ball into space for the wing-back to lash it home from 20 yards.
Barnett had earlier squandered a big opportunity to double our lead when he went through one-on-one with Adam Smith only to see his effort saved.
Michael Doyle saw a well-struck volley blocked, too, on an afternoon when we were well in the ascendancy and ran out deserved victors.
STARTING XI: Slocombe; Lacey (Turner 51'), Ellis, Rawlinson; Barnett, Boldewijn; Doyle, Reeves, O'Brien; Effiong (Knowles 90'), Wootton.
UNUSED SUBS: Kelly-Evans, Rodrigues, Sam
